Special Steels (D3)

Skyway also operates in special steels segment and caters to the d3 as cast and turned market. Skyway has a market share of about 3,000 mt per annum. The d3 ingots are cast in special moulds, annealed in controlled environments and then peeled to specific diameter on a number of peeling machines. There are 3 numbers of lathe machines for this purpose. The size range is from 100mm-460mm.
